WoolSafe Organisation Approved Service Provider and Fibre Care Specialist

Cheshire Cleaning Co holds several accreditations with cleaning industry awarding bodies. These show our professionalism, commitment and competence within the carpet, hard floor and upholstery cleaning and restoration industry.

They’re mainly used when we work on a B2B basis, though, domestic customers must take note that the same high standards apply whether we’re cleaning office blocks for aerospace & defence, or your two up two down on the outskirts of town. This week we’ll be showcasing them on our social media channels.

First up; WoolSafe Organisation. We hold two different accreditation levels with the WoolSafe Organisation.

  • WoolSafe Fibre Care Specialist
  • WoolSafe Approved Service Provider

The first (Fibre Care Specialist) means that we’ve attended a training course to learn in-depth how wool goes from fleece (sheep) to yarn (wool), to carpets, and therefore, it describes aspects of textile processing and carpet manufacture.

This training course also includes the initial processing and carpet or rug construction is followed by the basic issues concerned with actual cleaning.

By attending this training course and completing an entrance exam to show our knowledge; Cheshire Cleaning Co was invited to become WoolSafe Approved Service Providers.

The WoolSafe Organisation is a cleaning industry service provider, devoted to promoting best practices in carpet and rug care through maintenance product evaluation and certification, education and training, and the promotion of professional cleaning and inspection services.

In the UK there are only around 100 WoolSafe Approved Service Providers – so quite a unique accreditation which certainly sets us apart from local carpet cleaners.

Established in 1991, the WoolSafe Certification Mark is widely recognised in many parts of the world as the standard for excellence and safety of carpet care chemicals, both for professionals and consumers. It is used by many of the world’s largest cleaning chemical suppliers to identify and promote those carpet care products specifically suitable for use on wool.
