There’s a very close relationship between Squid Game and our opposition – they’re both highly dangerous!

If you haven’t watched Squid Game yet or seen the memes taking over the internet or the TikTok recreations, Squid Games is a hyper-violent thriller that has become a massive hit since its launch on Netflix in early October 2021.

Squid Game is a group of 456 people, in debt and desperate, contestants are lured into a bloodthirsty survival game where they have the chance to walk away with 45.6 billion Korean won if they win a series of six games. If they lose, they die.

Why Squid Game is like our competition, let me explain:

Unqualified carpet cleaners do not hold the knowledge that they need to effectively clean carpet, and won’t know of any best practice within the industry and neither will they know how to change the pH of the carpet to release the dirt.

Because they are unqualified, and although they’re insured, if anything was to happen such as shrinkage, rippling, browning, or colour migration (where two colours run) their insurance policy will be null and void – simply because they’re not qualified to be cleaning carpet, so that part of their insurance will not be valid.

It’s a really risky business cleaning and to ensure the safety of our clients and team we follow industry-leading best practices for cleaning and maintenance of carpets, upholstery and hard floors.
