Close relationship between Squid Game and our opposition

There’s a very close relationship between Squid Game and our opposition – they’re both highly dangerous!

If you haven’t watched Squid Game yet or seen the memes taking over the internet or the TikTok recreations, Squid Games is a hyper-violent thriller that has become a massive hit since its launch on Netflix in early October 2021.

Squid Game is a group of 456 people, in debt and desperate, contestants are lured into a bloodthirsty survival game where they have the chance to walk away with 45.6 billion Korean won if they win a series of six games. If they lose, they die.

Why Squid Game is like our competition, let me explain:

Unqualified carpet cleaners do not hold the knowledge that they need to effectively clean carpet, and won’t know of any best practice within the industry and neither will they know how to change the pH of the carpet to release the dirt.

Because they are unqualified, and although they’re insured, if anything was to happen such as shrinkage, rippling, browning, or colour migration (where two colours run) their insurance policy will be null and void – simply because they’re not qualified to be cleaning carpet, so that part of their insurance will not be valid.

It’s a really risky business cleaning and to ensure the safety of our clients and team we follow industry-leading best practices for cleaning and maintenance of carpets, upholstery and hard floors.

We work with a leading UK Health and Safety service provider to ensure our compliance with Health & Safety regulations that are relevant to our line of work… Not to mention our Health and Safety Policy is 18 pages long, we have RAMS for every task at each job location, so you can be sure you’re in safe hands with us.

Not only this we also undertake various training courses to refresh our knowledge and learn new skills such as:

  • Professional cleaning and maintenance of carpets
  • Professional cleaning and maintenance of upholstery
  • Professional cleaning and removal of stains
  • Professional cleaning and restoration of hard floors
  • COSHH – Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
  • RIDDOR – Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations
  • Ladder Safety
  • Working at Height
  • Lone Working

Finally, Cheshire Cleaning Co is accredited by:

  • BICSc – British Institute of Cleaning Science
  • NCCA – National Carpet Cleaners Association
  • TrustMark – Government Endorsed Quality Scheme
  • WoolSafe Approved Service Provider
  • WoolSafe Fibre Care Specialist
